About Us
°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ’s Geriatric and Palliative Care physicians offer advanced and compassionate palliative care in New York. Our Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine team provides an extensive network of resources for the comprehensive care of older adults, bringing together a wide range of services that provide easy access to high-quality care. °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ gerontologists coordinate closely with physicians in other practices, such as neurology and psychiatry, as needed to offer the full spectrum of palliative treatments.
°ÅÀÖÊÓƵ – New York's Expert Geriatric Specialists
Physicians and nurse practitioners at the Irving Sherwood Wright Center on Aging provide both primary care and consultation in a multidisciplinary, collaborative setting. The Center also runs Housecalls, an innovative program that brings physicians to the homes of elderly patients in the neighborhood of NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and delivers care for those unable to visit our physicians.
Additionally, in the summer of 1999, °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ formed the Center for Aging Research and °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ Care, which integrates all geriatrics activities across the institution. The Center is administered by °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ's Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology, and its mission is to improve the quality of life of older adults through an integration of NewYork-Presbyterian and °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ's Aging Programs in research, clinical care, and teaching.
