About MacKenzi Nicole Preston, M.D., MHPE
Dr. MacKenzi Hillard is a graduate of The College of William and Mary and attended medical school at the University of Virginia, where she stayed for residency training in Pediatrics. She subsequently completed a three year fellowship in General Academic Pediatrics at the University of Rochester, during which she obtained a Masters in Health Professions Education from Rochester's Warner School of Education.
Dr. Hillard joined °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ in 2014 and currently serves as the associate clerkship director in Pediatrics, co-directs the college's Interprofessional Education curriculum, and designs and facilitates standardized patient encounters in the °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ Skills Center. She also serves on the medical college admissions committee. Dr. Hillard works in the pediatric clinic on Helmsely Tower - 5 and as a pediatric hospitalist. Her professional interests include clinical skills remediation, palliative care, and improving provider-patient communication, particularly across cultures to facilitate the delivery of equitable health care.
